Engr III-Security Engineer

What you'll be doing...

You'll be running and supporting enterprise customers for their business-critical services. You will be improving the customer experience and willing to take up the responsibility and take ownership of assigned tasks, resolve tasks within assigned shifts or correctly transition to oncoming shifts if not resolved, and supervise tasks to resolution.

• Executing full software development life cycle (SDLC) concept, design, build, deploy, test, release and support.
• Designing, developing and maintaining applications and databases by evaluating business needs, analysing requirements and developing software systems.
• Ensuring application development lifecycle is on track and adjusting the plan to meet deliverable timelines.
• On a need basis, implementing information security concepts, practices and procedures to build security solutions.
• You will be a strategic thinker joining a high-profile, high-visibility team that powers cyber data and strategic thinking for Verizon.

You'll need to have:

• Bachelor's degree or four or more years of work experience.
• Two or more years of relevant work experience.
• Two or more years of experience on Frontend/Web technologies and backend services.
• Development experience in Core / Advanced Java, and J2EE.
• Experience in Design Patterns.
• Experience on JMS, Spring Boot (REST & SOAP API skills), experience in Spring frameworks (MVC, IOC, Boot, Batch) and ORM framework like Hibernate.
• Experience in Oracle & SQL.
• Experience with Core Java, J2EE, SOA based Web Services, RESTful Web Services.
• Development experience with Web Services (SOAP and REST).
• Strong understanding of Artificial Intelligence and Machine Learning concepts & implementation capabilities.
• Ability to build, train, evaluate, and deploy machine learning models to address specific business problems.
• Knowledge of Secure-SDLC
• Knowledge of cloud-native application development.
• Effective code review, quality, performance tuning experience.
• Knowledge of shell scripting (Bash, Python, Ruby, JavaScript, and/or Perl)
• Familiarity with scripting for MAC systems
• Good communication and presentation skills.
