Responsible for driving support in designing and implementing processes and layouts for
small to medium-scale data sets used for modeling, data mining, and research purposes.
Designs and builds large and complex data sets from spurious sources while thinking
strategically about uses of data and how data use interacts with data design. Works with
key stakeholders to generate hypotheses and create analytic models that answer
impactful business questions. Uses professional concepts and company policies and
procedures to solve a wide range of difficult problems in creative and practical ways.

* Work with the business clients to discuss small to mid-scale solution requests and
begin determining data requirements and statistical methodologies.
* Drives support in the design and implementation processes and layouts for complex,
small to mid-scale data sets used for modeling, data mining, and research purposes.
* Design and build small to mid-scale data sets, thinking about uses of data and how it
interacts with the design.
* Drives support to develop components of statistical models or end-to-end small to mid-
scale models, participating in various pieces of the process including data processing,
analysis framework, custom complex visualization tools, and web applications.
* Design and implement small to mid-scale statistical data quality procedures around new
data sources.
* Design and implement data validation and updating procedures for teams to utilize.
* Visualize and report data findings creatively in a variety of visual formats that
appropriately provides insights to the organization.

One of the objectives is to support the Fraud Detection and Digital Transformation
initiatives in Advanced Analytics by empowering the business through the use of
advanced analytics, enhance decision making and allow for insight driven collaboration.
CFO Analytics team is looking for a talented and hands on data and analytics driven
individual to join the team and contribute to the team's success.
As a Data Scientist, you will be working on multiple advanced analytics projects
and drive change among the teams by deploying the solutions and insights.
You will help to envision, communicate, and facilitate deployment and execution
of data and analytics work.
You will collaborate with multiple Business and Finance teams across Verizon.
Adhering to industry standards and best practices and understanding emerging
technologies and trends to continuously improve the systems, application,
infrastructure, and processes.

assigned office days set by your manager.

Youll need to have:
Bachelor's degree or six or more years of experience.

Six or more years of strong experience in analytical model building and designing
analytical solutions
Strong communication & stakeholder management skills
Participate in the design, implementation and interpretation of advanced analytics
concepts and projects related to Big Data, AI and ML/DL
Deep knowledge in Supervised, Unsupervised Machine learning and neural
network techniques
Experience in using statistical computer languages (R, Python) to manipulate
data and draw insights from large data sets.
Knowledge on model deployment and monitoring
Strong SQL proficiency one or many (Postgres, Oracle, SQL Server, Teradata)

Even better if you have one or more of the following:
Knowledge on fraud detection
Knowledge on Reinforcement Learning
