Role & responsibilities

• Install, configure, and maintain Linux operating systems (e.g., Ubuntu, CentOS, RHEL)
• Manage user accounts, permissions, and access controls
• Monitor system performance, identify bottlenecks, and implement optimization strategies
• Perform regular system backups and disaster recovery procedures
• Patch and update systems to address security vulnerabilities
• Network Configuration:
• Configure network interfaces, routing protocols, and firewall rules
• Troubleshoot network connectivity issues
• Implement network security measures
• Security:
• Implement security best practices, including user authentication, access control, and encryption
• Stay up-to-date with security threats and vulnerabilities
• Conduct security audits and penetration testing
• Scripting and Automation:
• Write scripts (e.g., Bash, Python) to automate routine tasks and improve efficiency
• Develop configuration management solutions (e.g., Ansible, Puppet)
• Troubleshooting
• Diagnose and resolve complex technical issues
• Provide timely and effective support to end-users
