Job Description
- We are seeking an experienced Lead Process Engineer to join our dynamic team in the oil and gas sector
- The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing the design and optimization of process systems, ensuring they meet safety, environmental, and operational standards
- This role requires strong technical expertise, leadership skills, and a commitment to delivering high-quality engineering solutions
- Key Responsibilities Design and Development: Lead the design and development of process systems for oil and gas projects, including process flow diagrams, P&IDs, and equipment specifications
- Project Management: Manage project timelines, budgets, and resources effectively, ensuring adherence to project milestones and quality standards
- Technical Leadership: Provide technical guidance to engineering teams, fostering innovation and best practices in process design and optimization
- Safety and Compliance: Ensure all designs comply with industry standards, safety regulations, and environmental policies
- Collaboration: Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, including mechanical, electrical, and civil engineers, to integrate process systems with overall project designs
- Client Interaction: Engage with clients to understand their requirements, provide technical support, and deliver presentations on process design concepts and project progress
- Troubleshooting and Optimization: Analyze existing processes, identify areas for improvement, and implement solutions to enhance efficiency and reduce operational costs
- Documentation: Prepare and review engineering documentation, reports, and presentations, ensuring clarity and accuracy
- Qualifications Education: Bachelor s degree in Chemical Engineering, Process Engineering, or a related field; a master s degree is a plus
- Experience: Minimum of 8 years of experience in process engineering within the oil and gas industry
- Technical Skills: Proficient in process simulation software (eg, Aspen HYSYS, MATLAB), as well as knowledge of industry standards and regulations (eg, API, ANSI, ASME)
- Leadership Abilities: Strong leadership and team management skills, with a proven track record of mentoring and developing engineering talent
- Communication Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to convey complex technical concepts to diverse audiences
