Job Description

We are seeking a highly driven and experienced General Manager of Brand Partnerships to join our dynamic marketing team. In this critical role, you will be responsible for forging strategic partnerships with leading offline brands, to drive user acquisition, increase brand visibility, and solidify Paytm's position as the leading digital payments platform in India. You will leverage your deep understanding of the landscape, strong business development acumen, and exceptional relationship-building skills to identify, negotiate, and execute impactful partnerships that deliver measurable results.

Key Responsibilities:

Develop and execute strategic partnerships:

- Identify and pursue high-impact partnerships with key FMCG players, focusing on collaborations that drive user acquisition, increase brand loyalty, and enhance customer experience.

- Negotiate and close lucrative deals, ensuring mutually beneficial terms and conditions.

- Develop and implement innovative partnership programs, such as co-branded offers, loyalty programs, and exclusive promotions.

Drive QR code adoption:

- Spearhead initiatives to integrate organization's QR codes into FMCG product packaging and marketing materials.

- Collaborate with FMCG partners to develop compelling consumer-facing campaigns that incentivize the use of organization's QR codes.

- Track and analyze the performance of QR code integrations, identifying areas for improvement and optimizing campaigns for maximum impact.

- Explore and develop new partnership opportunities:

- Identify and explore new partnership avenues within the FMCG sector and beyond, such as collaborations with retailers, distributors, and other key stakeholders.

- Stay abreast of industry trends and emerging technologies, identifying opportunities for innovative partnerships that leverage new platforms and technologies.

Build and maintain strong relationships:

- Develop and nurture strong relationships with key decision-makers at partner companies, including C-level executives, marketing directors, and sales managers.

- Cultivate a collaborative and mutually beneficial environment with all partners.

- Manage and monitor partnership performance:

- Track and analyze key performance indicators (KPIs) for all partnerships, including user acquisition, transaction volume, and return on investment (ROI).

- Generate regular reports on partnership performance and provide insights to senior leadership.

- Continuously optimize partnership strategies and tactics based on performance data and market feedback.

Team leadership and management:

Qualifications:

Experience: 10-15 years of experience in business development, partnerships, or a related field within the FMCG or consumer goods industry.

- Proven track record: Demonstrated success in developing and executing high-impact partnerships that deliver significant business value.

- Industry expertise: Deep understanding of the FMCG landscape, including key players, market trends, and competitive dynamics.

- Relationship-building skills: Excellent interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to build and maintain strong relationships with senior-level executives.

- Negotiation and influencing skills: Proven ability to negotiate complex deals and influence key stakeholders.

- Analytical and problem-solving skills: Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to analyze data, identify trends, and develop effective solutions.

- High energy and drive: A highly motivated and results-oriented individual with a strong work ethic and a passion for achieving ambitious goals.

- Strategic thinking: Ability to think strategically and develop long-term partnership strategies that align with business objectives.

- Communication and presentation skills: Excellent written and verbal communication and presentation skills.

- Education: Bachelor's degree in business, marketing, or a related field; MBA preferred.

Bonus Points:

- Experience in the fintech or digital payments industry.

- Existing relationships with key FMCG players in the Indian market.

- Experience in launching and scaling successful co-branded products or services.
