Key Responsibilities :

- Lead and manage a team of AI researchers and engineers, providing guidance, mentorship, and support in research projects.

- Oversee the entire research lifecycle, from ideation and experimentation to publication and real-world implementation.

- Develop and execute research strategies that align with company goals, focusing on advancements in machine learning, deep learning, and AI.

- Ensure projects are delivered on time and within scope, balancing innovation with practical outcomes.

- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including data scientists, software engineers, and product managers, to integrate research outcomes into production systems.

- Provide technical expertise in Python, TensorFlow, and related ML frameworks to guide research methodologies and ensure best practices.

- Manage and prioritize research activities, maintaining a balance between short-term objectives and long-term research goals.

- Stay up-to-date with the latest AI research, technologies, and industry trends, and ensure the team remains at the cutting edge.

- Foster a collaborative, inclusive, and innovative research environment that encourages experimentation and risk-taking.

- Ensure proper documentation and knowledge sharing within the team, and contribute to technical papers, patents, and publications.

Requirements :

- Masters or PhD in Computer Science, Artificial Intelligence, Machine Learning, or a related field.

- 5+ years of experience in AI/ML research, with a strong focus on machine learning, deep learning, and related technologies.

- 2+ years of team leadership or management experience, preferably in a research environment.

- Proficiency in Python and machine learning libraries such as TensorFlow, Keras, PyTorch, or similar.

- Proven track record of successfully leading research projects, with publications or patents demonstrating impactful contributions.

- Strong project management skills, with the ability to manage multiple research projects and meet deadlines.

- Excellent communication skills, with the ability to translate complex research findings into actionable insights for non-technical stakeholders.

- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, with a focus on innovation and practical application of research.

Preferred Qualifications :

- Experience working in AI labs or R&D teams within the tech industry or academia.

- Knowledge of cloud platforms (AWS, GCP, Azure) and experience deploying machine learning models in production environments.

- Familiarity with reinforcement learning, natural language processing (NLP), or computer vision techniques.

- Strong understanding of data science pipelines and big data tools (e.g., Hadoop, Spark).
