Responsibilities:.
GST Compliance and Filings:.
- Ensure timely and accurate filing of GST returns (GSTR-1, GSTR-3B, etc.) in compliance with applicable laws.
- Conduct regular reconciliation of Input Tax Credit (ITC) and ensure proper GST treatment of real estate transactions (e.g, sale, purchase, construction).
- Address GST-related queries and represent the company in any GST audits or assessments.
Individual Taxation:
- Oversee the preparation and filing of income tax returns for individual clients, including computation of tax liabilities and providing tax planning advisory.
- Guide clients on tax-saving strategies and investment options.
- Manage any assessments, audits and disputes with the Income Tax Department.
NBFC Filings and Regulatory Compliance:
- Ensure compliance with regulatory filings and documentation required by the Reserve Bank of India (RBI) and Securities and Exchange Board of India (SEBI) for Non-Banking Financial Companies (NBFCs).
- Prepare quarterly and annual financial reports, ensuring that they comply with statutory requirements for liquidity, asset classification and provisioning norms.
- Handle regulatory reporting for NBFCs, ensuring timely submission to authorities.
- BSE Filings and Corporate Compliance (For Listed Companies):.
- Oversee the filing of quarterly and annual financial statements, disclosures and reports to BSE and SEBI, ensuring compliance with stock exchange regulations.
- Prepare and ensure timely submissions of corporate governance reports, shareholder communications and other necessary filings with stock exchanges.
- Work closely with legal and compliance teams to ensure adherence to corporate governance and statutory requirements.
Loan Reporting and Compliance:.
- Manage loan reporting activities, including the disbursement, repayment and interest tracking for corporate loans.
- Prepare and submit loan compliance reports to lenders and ensure that all loan covenants are met.
- Monitor loan schedules, interest rates and repayment processes to ensure accuracy and timely reporting.
Financial Closing for Listed and Non-Listed Companies:.
- Lead the financial closing process for both listed and non-listed real estate companies, ensuring all financials are accurate and submitted in a timely manner.
- Coordinate with auditors for year-end audits, resolving any queries and ensuring timely completion.
- Consolidate financial statements for the group, ensuring compliance with accounting standards (IFRS/Indian GAAP).
Taxation and Financial Advisory:.
- Provide strategic tax planning and advisory services to optimize tax liabilities for the company and its clients.
- Stay updated on changes to tax laws and regulations and assess their impact on the company's operations and strategies.
- Advice the management on matters related to taxation, financial structuring and overall financial performance.
Internal Control and Audit:
- Ensure strong internal controls and compliance with applicable laws and accounting standards.
- Assist in internal and external audits, providing necessary documentation and resolving audit issues.
Qualifications:.
Educational Qualification: Chartered Accountant (CA).
- Experience: Minimum 4-6 years of relevant experience in the real estate industry, including expertise in GST, individual taxation, NBFC filings, BSE filings, loan reporting and financial closing for listed and non-listed companies.
Technical Skills:.
- Strong knowledge of GST, Income Tax Act, NBFC regulations and BSE listing requirements.
- Proficiency in accounting software (e.g , Tally, SAP, or other ERP systems).
- Familiarity with IFRS/Indian GAAP and real estate-specific accounting standards.
- Experience with regulatory compliance and filing with RBI, SEBI and stock exchanges.
Soft Skills:.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving and attention to detail.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for liaising with internal teams, clients, auditors and regulatory authorities.
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities effectively.
