Vance is building a Financial Services platform for immigrants around the world. We are backed by influential venture capitalists like Hummingbird Ventures, Y Combinator, Global Founders Capital, Soma Capital, and are on a mission to simplify global banking as easily as booking an Uber.

We re first taking on the Indian diaspora - the largest and wealthiest immigrant population. 15 million Non-Resident Indians hold over $1. 5T in wealth of which $500B is back in India. They remit $125B back every year and account for 25% of all real estate purchases in India. Yet, the banking experiences of these NRIs are archaic. We re building a new age platform to service these NRIs with cross border money movement.

About the Role

At Vance, we are building the future of global fintech a seamless, borderless banking experience for immigrants. As a Frontend Engineer, you will be at the forefront of creating high-performance, visually compelling, and scalable web applications that power our financial products. You will own the frontend experience across our website, dashboards, and product interfaces, working in close collaboration with engineering, product, design, growth & operations teams.

Location : Bangalore || 5 days in-office for collaboration and speed

What You ll Own

• Develop high-performance, modular, and scalable frontend architecture.

• Ensure seamless design execution by working closely with designers and product teams.

• Build user-facing features for Vance s web app and internal tools, optimizing for responsiveness and speed.

• Write clean, maintainable, and reusable code following software engineering best practices.

• Integrate with REST APIs, GraphQL, and state management libraries like Redux or React Context.

• Optimize web experiences to function seamlessly across all major browsers and devices.

• Keep up with industry best practices and emerging technologies to enhance Vance s frontend ecosystem.

What We Need

• 3-5 years in frontend development, ideally in a product-based startup or fast-moving tech environment.

• Strong proficiency in JavaScript, React. js (or other modern frontend frameworks), TypeScript, and component-based UI development.

• Ability to take full responsibility for features from concept to execution, deployment, and maintenance.

• Experience optimizing web applications for speed, efficiency, and scalability.

• Comfortable working with design systems, ensuring a pixel-perfect implementation.

• A pragmatic approach to debugging and improving web performance.

• Comfortable wearing multiple hats, working in ambiguity, and thriving in an execution-first environment.

Interview Process

1. Exploratory Call (30 mins) - Initial conversation with the recruiter to discuss your background, motivations, and fit with Vance.

2. Resume Deep Dive (60 mins) - In-depth discussion with a team member on your past projects, problem-solving approach, and technical expertise.

3. Machine Coding Round (3 hrs)

   1. 2 hrs - Build a frontend solution for a given problem statement.

   2. 1 hr - Discuss your approach, design choices, and trade-offs with Hiring Manager.

• Bar Raiser Round with Founder (30 mins) - A final conversation to assess alignment with Vance s values, ownership mindset, and long-term vision.
