Relevant experience of minimum 4+ years in Windows system administration at L2 and L3 levels

Education Qualification

Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Technology, or a related field

Responsibilities

1. Support services for Microsoft Windows Server OS (DHCP, DNS, AD, and CA)
2. Provide server administration services for Windows/LINUX and LAN/WAN
3. Advanced Troubleshooting: Resolve complex issues that L1 support engineers cannot handle. Perform root cause analysis for recurring problems or complex issues.
4. Administration of Wintel Server: Administration Platform and Server Virtualization Installation, Configuration and troubleshooting of Windows Physical & Virtual Servers
5. Incident Management and SLA Responsibilities: Handle incident management and ensure compliance with Service Level Agreements (SLAs). Update tickets with detailed logs, troubleshooting steps, and resolutions.
6. Change Implementation and Management: Implement configuration changes, system upgrades, and feature enhancements. Support deployments and verify changes in the production environment.
7. Windows Server Management: Install, configure, maintain, and troubleshoot Windows Server operating systems. Manage server features and roles such as Terminal servers (RDS), DNS, DHCP, etc.
8. VMware Management: Create virtual machines, perform cloning, create and delete snapshots, and manage hardware resources on GuestOS.
9. Active Directory and Exchange Management: Configure and troubleshoot Active Directory, DNS, Group Policy, and DHCP. Manage user, shared, and conference mailboxes.
10. Linux Server Management: Install Linux distributions, troubleshoot server performance, and manage user/group permissions.
11. Patch Management: Perform Windows server patching using tools such as WSUS, SCCM, LANDesk, etc.
12. Utilize knowledge of network applications and TCP/IP protocols
13. Understand networking like DNS and IP
14. Install and manage Windows Clustering and Windows Active Directory
15. Perform network troubleshooting to determine system or network related issues
16. Respond to monitoring alerts and execute reporting of system health and capacity using tools and procedures to ensure compliance with service level agreements and operational standards

Certification:

1. Relevant certifications such as MCP, MCSA, MCSE, RHEL or equivalent

Key Skills:

1. Operating System | Installation & Configuration | Troubleshoot | Active Directory | Windows Server 2008 to 2022 | Linux/RHEL | DNS | GPO | Networking | Remote Administration

2. Ready to work in Shifts

3. At least 3 years of Windows 2003/2008/2012 server administration

4. At least 3 years of Windows Active Directory administration

5. At least 1 years of Linux administration

Others:

1. Knowledge of PowerShell, FTP, ADFS, SCCM, and Networking is a plus
2. Good understanding of storage and networking concept will be an advantage
3. Prior expertise in writing scripts to automate tasks for VMware/Windows Infrastructure is preferred
4. Experience on HP / DELL / IBM hardware platform setup and configuration
