Role & responsibilities
Strategy Development: Define and execute the overall ecommerce strategy, focusing on growth, customer acquisition, retention, and maximizing revenue.
Website Management: Oversee the design, development, and optimization of the company's ecommerce platform for seamless customer experiences across web and mobile.
Digital Marketing: Collaborate with the digital marketing team to drive traffic through SEO, SEM, social media, email marketing, and paid campaigns, ensuring an integrated approach across all channels.
Product Management: Ensure the timely upload and management of product listings, categories, and descriptions. Optimize product offerings based on demand and trends.
Sales & Revenue Management: Set sales targets, monitor key ecommerce performance metrics, and optimize product listings and promotions to achieve revenue goals.
User Experience & Customer Journey: Continuously enhance the customer experience by improving website usability, checkout process, and post-purchase engagement.
Inventory & Logistics Coordination: Collaborate with supply chain, inventory, and logistics teams to ensure efficient product availability and timely order fulfilment.
Data-Driven Decision Making: Analyze data related to website traffic, conversions, and customer behavior. Use insights to optimize performance and implement targeted marketing strategies.
Team Leadership: Lead, mentor, and manage a cross-functional team, including marketing, customer service, and IT, to achieve ecommerce business objectives.
Partnerships & Collaborations: Work closely with external vendors, payment gateways, and third-party services to enhance platform functionality and service quality.
Innovation: Stay updated with the latest ecommerce trends, technologies, and customer preferences to introduce innovative solutions and improvements to the ecommerce ecosystem.
Preferred candidate profile
Educational Background: Bachelors/Masters degree in Business, Marketing, Ecommerce, or a related field.
Experience: 7+ years of experience in Ecommerce management, preferably in the jewellery or luxury retail industry.
Technical Skills: Strong understanding of ecommerce platforms (Magento, Shopify, etc.), web analytics (Google Analytics), SEO, and digital marketing strategies.
Analytical Skills: Ability to analyze complex data, generate insights, and drive performance improvements.
Leadership: Proven experience in leading and managing teams, with strong communication and interpersonal skills.
Customer-Centric: Deep understanding of customer behaviors, needs, and expectations, particularly in luxury or high-involvement products like jewellery.
