Job Description:

Key Responsibilities:

1. Test Case Design & Development:
Analyze business requirements, user stories, and technical specifications to create comprehensive and reusable test cases.
Design manual test scripts to validate functionality, usability, and performance, including APIs, services, and mobile applications.
2. API and Services Testing:
Perform manual testing of RESTful APIs and services to validate request/response payloads, headers, and error handling.
Use tools like Postman, SoapUI, or equivalent for functional and performance testing of APIs.
Validate integration between backend services and ensure data integrity.
3. Mobile Application Testing:
Test mobile applications across various devices, operating systems (iOS, Android), and screen sizes.
Perform functional, usability, compatibility, and performance testing of mobile apps.
Report and track issues specific to mobile app behavior, including crashes, UI responsiveness, and performance.
4. Test Execution:
Execute manual test scripts and document results accurately.
Perform functional, regression, integration, exploratory, API, and mobile testing to identify defects and ensure quality.
5. Defect Identification & Reporting:
Identify, document, and prioritize software defects in collaboration with developers and stakeholders.
Log defects in the defect tracking system and track them to closure.
6. Test Reporting:
Create detailed test execution reports, defect summaries, and testing progress reports.
Present test results to stakeholders, highlighting key issues and recommendations.
7. Collaboration:
Work closely with developers, product managers, and other stakeholders to understand requirements and provide testing insights.
Participate in agile ceremonies, such as sprint planning, daily standups, and retrospectives.
8. Test Environment Management:
Set up and manage test environments as required.
Validate test environments for readiness and accuracy before executing tests.
Cross-Functional Collaboration

• Work with cross-functional teams to align testing efforts with development, DevOps, and release management strategies.
• Represent the testing team in high-level discussions, providing insights on test readiness and quality metrics.

Defect Management & Quality Advocacy

• Take ownership of defect management processes, including triaging, root cause analysis, and resolution tracking.
• Advocate for quality standards and processes across the organization, ensuring testing aligns with best practices.
