Role & responsibilities

You will be responsible for liaison with the Ministry of Defence (MoD) and its various organisations, business development of the Shipbuilding Division, namely Messrs Dempo Shipbuilding & Engineering Pvt. Ltd. (DSEPL) and Modest Infrastructure Pvt. Ltd. (Modest), with their yards at Baingunim and Undir in Goa and Bhavnagar in Gujarat.

a. Handle the current and new inquiries from the Indian Navy and ICG and other defence organisation for new shipbuilding.

b. Review technical proposals for new tenders.

c. Attend tender opening on behalf of the shipyards, and prepare comparative statements of various bidders/ tenderers.

d. Attend Technical Committee Meetings, during tendering, and offer clarifications to queries.

e. Assist Company Senior Management in marketing the shipyards for constructing different types and sizes of vessels.

f. As and when required, you will be a part of team for price negotiation of Defence contracts, TNC/PNC of equipment, project planning reporting and monitoring. Ensuring timely correspondence for all project/contract related activities.

g. Interaction with Shipyard Association of India, Ministry of Shipping, DG Shipping for meetings, representations, policy related matters etc.

h. RFIs and RFPs of any other Defence Organisation ( IAF, BSF, Sagar Prahari Bal, ITBP, Indian Army, DRDO, MES etc)

i. Liaison with Naval Organisations like Naval Bases, Dockyards, NOIC, ATV, NSRYs, Training Organisations for any Refits, Repairs, Shipyard related or Technical requirements.

j. Feedback about appointments, transfers of important positions in the defence organisations and establishments.

k. Advice on request for sponsorship from defence organisations.

l. Responsible for liaison, interaction, response and correspondence with IHQ, DSP and ICG PD ship Acquisition & ADG Acquisition Tech (Maritime & System), DGNPs, Naval Dockyards and commands for RFI & RFP, Tech Capacity Assessment, policy related feedback etc.

Preferred candidate profile

Min 20 Yrs. experience in Shipbuilding Industry. Retired Naval Personnels/Experienced candidates having similar experience in the shipbuilding
