Geologist

We are seeking an experienced Geologist for our Railway Tunnel Doubling Project. The ideal candidate should have 6 to 10 years of hands-on experience in Tunnel or Hydro Power Projects. This is an urgent requirement, and the candidate will be responsible for managing and overseeing geological and geotechnical aspects of tunnel construction.

Key Responsibilities:

• Prepare and interpret Geological Maps (2D & 3D) for tunnel projects.
• Provide detailed Geological and Geo-technical information related to tunnels, including slope stabilization and portal development.
• Supervise multi-stage excavation of tunnels, using the Multi Drifting Method.
• Address all technical issues related to tunnel excavation and interact with the PMC RE Geology team for smooth project execution.

Preferred Candidate Profile:

• Tunnel Geologist with specific experience in Railway Tunnels.
• Knowledge of Rock Mass Classification according to NATM and ONORM specifications in relation to ground type and behaviour.
• Expertise in 3D logging of tunnels to ensure accurate geological mapping and data collection.

Education Requirements:

• Postgraduate degree (MS/M.Sc.) in Geology.

Key Skills:

• Experience in Railway Tunnel and Underground Projects.
• Proficiency in NATM Excavation and Rock Mechanics.
