Etl Tester

Job Description:
We are seeking a skilled ETL Tester with experience in Data Testing and Data Warehousing Testing to join our team. The ideal candidate should have a strong background in testing methodologies, data validation, and troubleshooting in ETL processes and data warehouses.

Key Responsibilities:

• Design, develop, and execute test plans, test cases, and test scripts for ETL processes and data warehouses.
• Perform data validation, data comparison, and data integrity checks between source and target systems.
• Identify, analyze, and troubleshoot issues related to data quality, performance, and ETL processes.
• Validate data transformation rules, mappings, and workflows in ETL processes.
• Collaborate with developers, business analysts, and other stakeholders to ensure data accuracy and completeness.
• Conduct performance testing on data warehouse systems and ETL pipelines to ensure optimal efficiency.
• Document defects, track their resolution, and provide detailed reports on testing progress and results.
• Automate testing processes using appropriate tools to improve testing efficiency.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

• Bachelors degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
• 37 years of experience in ETL testing, data testing, or data warehousing testing.
• Strong knowledge of ETL processes, data pipelines, and data transformation concepts.
• Proficiency in SQL for data querying and validation.
• Experience with ETL tools like Informatica, Talend, SSIS, or similar.
• Familiarity with data warehousing concepts and platforms (e.g., Snowflake, Redshift, BigQuery, or traditional relational databases).
• Hands-on experience with defect tracking tools like JIRA, Bugzilla, or HP ALM.
• Knowledge of testing tools such as Selenium, TestNG, or similar is a plus.
• Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.

Preferred Skills:

• Experience in automating ETL and data warehouse testing.
• Familiarity with cloud-based data warehouse solutions (AWS, Azure, GCP).
• Knowledge of data visualization tools like Tableau, Power BI, or Looker.
• Certification in ETL or Data Warehousing tools is an added advantage.
