Reverse Engineering Analyst

JOB DICSCRIPTION FOR THE ROLE OF ANALYST FOR BIOLOGICAL MOLECULES

Role:

This role will involve,

• Operation, maintenance and troubleshooting of High-Resolution Mass Spectrometer (HRMS).
• Sample preparation, analysis and Data compilation (natural macro molecules from plant extraction, molecules from fermentation, agrochemical, small molecules from chemical synthesis)
• Data analysis, use of various mass spectrometry databases and information management systems.
• Maintaining the infrastructure and consumables for the lab.
• Providing technical support at cross-functional teams.

Experience:

• Experience of mass spectrometry and allied chromatography techniques e.g. LC-HRMS (Thermo-Orbitrap experience is preferred), GC-MS, LC-MS, HPLC, GC.
• Experience in handling samples such as microbial source, metabolites, natural products, impurity profiling in in-process and finished product.
• Detailed knowledge of specialist operating software, databases and analytical software (e.g. Thermo Chromeleon, BioPharma Finder, Compound Discoverer, Sciex Analyst, ChemDraw/ChemSketch).
• Good interpersonal skills and ability to communicate effectively with R&D & IPR.

• Good awareness of health & safety issues.
• Ability to assess resource requirements and use resources effectively

Qualifications

• M.Sc. with 5-8 years of experience in fermentation/Agrochemical/ CRO or Ph.D with 3-5 years in similar field
