GIS Manager

PURPOSE OF THE ROLE

To Assist, Coordinate and Support the GIS team towards meeting the short-term and long-term business objectives within the corporate strategy framework and driven by the values of our organization

SCOPE OF THE ROLE

Will lead: 4-8 (to include: Digitizer, Surveyors, Technicians etc)

Will report to: team lead NOC, HOD O&M

Interactions: Clients, Vendors, Management team of Revmax, The Board of Directors and Employees of the company across several departments and levels.

KEY AREAS OF FOCUS

STRATEGY

• Assist in developing the business strategy of the department.
• Assist in developing departmental business plan and cascade elements of the same to reporting teams.
• Assists and participate in review and improvement of team performance MIS.
• Suggest / take decisions / actions to align performance of the team as per the business plan.
• Participate in formulating policies governing the overall operations of the GIS team
• Work closely with the Design, Survey, OFC & Sales team to ensure all clients SLAs are meet to the satisfaction

CLIENT

• Assists in preparation for client reviews or support the Operation head / sales team in preparation for client reviews.
• Be proactive and systematic to avoid client escalations / issues and promptly resolve and/or appropriately channelize any escalations
• Assist in developing proposals / parts of proposals, requisite services /solutions to convert prospects to clients in conjunction with the business development team.
• Maintain sustainable and trustworthy relations in the client organization

OPERATIONAL

• Planning & digitization of ducts & optical fiber cables.
• Assist in developing GIS policies and procedures.
• Operational Support to O&M team in Fiber fault location & updating.
• Assist in Quality Control of survey drawing as per specification using GIS software
• Ensure productive work relationship & effective co-ordination with Operation team as well as all relevant internal departments
• Staying updated with industry trends and technology to identify the new areas for implementation of GIS
• Support all initiatives of Operations & sales team as & when required
• Ensure all GIS deliverables i.e., drawings, Maps etc. are accurate.
• Coordinate with Operation team for updating all routes/ maps on a timely manner.
• Establish client relations
• Participate in various tendering and contracting projects.
• Strong understanding in defining project scope, goals, objectives, and deliverables that support business goals in collaboration with Head / GIS.
• Develop & proactively review & tune the team structure to meet / exceed business objectives
• Assist GIS team including Survey team
• Coordinate with survey team for rout planning
• Ensure accuracy of survey
• Interact with the clients for understanding & resolving queries related to GIS
• Assist, executing and closing projects according to deadlines and within budget
• Ready to be on call 24*7
• Adhere to company & departmental polices & procedures like communication protocols, operational practices / procedures, Information security practices, attendance, procedures, etc
• Performs any other work assigned by the Management from time to time as per organizational priority.
• Maintain all records as per ISO standards
• Adhere to all ISO policies & processes
• Reporting to management by publishing daily / weekly / monthly MIS.
• Ensure data confidentially, integrity & protection of companys property

UNIQUE CIRCUMSTANCES

• Work in night shifts
