Account Manager

Role & Responsibilities

• Prepare accurate and timely financial statements, including consolidated reports for multi-entity organizations, ensuring compliance with Indian accounting standards.
• Lead and coordinate internal and external audits, ensuring adherence to regulatory and compliance requirements.
• Develop and implement robust financial controls to safeguard company assets and maintain data accuracy.
• Oversee monthly, quarterly, and annual financial closing processes, including journal entries, reconciliations, and variance analysis.
• Prepare detailed financial reports and presentations for executive leadership and board members.
• Drive process improvements and automation initiatives to enhance financial reporting efficiency.
• Provide mentorship and leadership to junior accountants, fostering a culture of collaboration and operational excellence.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop budgets, forecasts, and long-term financial strategies.
• Stay updated on changes in accounting regulations and best practices, applying necessary updates to internal processes and documentation.

Accounting & Compliance:

• Prepare and maintain financial statements, including balance sheets, profit and loss statements, and cash flow statements, ensuring accuracy and compliance.
• Manage GST returns (GSTR-1, GSTR-3B), TDS calculations, and ensure timely tax filings in accordance with Indian regulations.
• Oversee accounts payable and receivable processes, including vendor invoice verification, customer billing, and debt collection.
• Reconcile bank statements with accounting records to identify and resolve discrepancies.
• Assist in budget creation and financial forecasting to support strategic decision-making.
• Implement and maintain internal controls to prevent fraud and ensure financial integrity.
• Analyze financial data to identify trends, areas for improvement, and potential risks, providing actionable insights to management.
• Collaborate with external auditors, prepare necessary documentation, and address audit queries efficiently.

Leadership & Compliance:

• Lead and mentor a team of junior accountants, ensuring smooth day-to-day operations.
• Stay informed on evolving Indian accounting standards and regulatory requirements, ensuring continuous compliance.

Required skills and qualifications:

• B.com/M.Com or a professional accounting qualification like CA (Chartered Accountant)
• 5+ years of experience in accounting roles within Indian companies
• Proficiency in accounting software like Tally ERP 9
• Strong understanding of Indian tax laws, including GST and TDS
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills .Attention to detail and accuracy
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate with cross-functional teams
