Engineering Manager

Job Responsibilities.

Team Leadership & Management.

Lead, mentor, and manage a team of highly qualified engineers.

Build an open, trusting, and operationally mature team culture.

Provide career growth and mentorship opportunities for team members.

Project Delivery & Coordination.

Own the delivery of critical projects and timelines.

Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure alignment with product goals and efforts.

Support and coordinate timely resolutions for customer issues and escalations.

Follow best practices in planning and delivering features.

Communication & Stakeholder Management.

Build and maintain relationships with Product and Engineering stakeholders, meeting their needs.

Effectively communicate project status, issues, and plans to stakeholders.

Establish ownership and accountability across the team, fostering a culture of continuous improvement.

Technical Expertise & Decision-Making.

Engage in technical and architectural discussions, provide direction, and drive decision-making.

Collaborate on technical solutions leveraging best practices.

Escalate and be responsive to critical issues.

Qualifications.

Education: Bachelors or Masters degree in Computer Science or a related field.

Experience: 5+ years of experience in Unix/Linux development environments and administration.

3+ years of leadership or managerial experience.

Hands-on experience with Docker, Kubernetes/Helm, and CI/CD pipelines (e g , Jenkins, GitLab).

Knowledge of networking protocols, standards, and technologies (e g , TCP/IP, DNS).

Programming experience with Python, Golang, or equivalent languages.

Familiarity with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, etc).

Understanding of compliance and security frameworks (e g , SOC2, FedRAMP, GDPR, SOX).

Skills: Excellent communication, leadership, and team management skills.

Agile experience in a fast-paced development or SaaS delivery environment.

Strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities.
