Key functions of a time office department:
Attendance monitoring:
Identifying patterns of absenteeism and early departures to address potential issues.
Leave management:
Processing employee leave requests (sick days, vacation, etc.) and ensuring proper accrual tracking.
Shift scheduling:
Creating and managing employee work schedules across different shifts.
Payroll:
Providing accurate time data to the payroll department for salary calculations.
Compliance management:
Ensuring adherence to labor laws regarding PF/ESI/Bonus Etc.
Cost control:
Accurate time tracking helps manage labor costs by identifying areas where efficiency can be improved.
Production planning:
Understanding employee availability and work hours allows for better production scheduling and forecasting.
Productivity improvement:
Monitoring time usage can help identify bottlenecks and areas where training or process adjustments might be needed.
