Business Development Manager

Role & responsibilities:

We are seeking a driven and strategic Business Development Manager to expand our market presence and drive revenue growth within the water supply and treatment plants industry. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in managing and streamlining the business development process. This role requires a proven ability to cultivate relationships with clients, identify opportunities, and lead initiatives that align with our company's growth objectives.

Key Responsibilities:

• Liaise with Government Departments regarding upcoming projects in water supply and water treatment plants.
• Collaborate with government authorities to comprehend published tenders, upcoming projects and their requirements to drive business development.
• Conduct research on upcoming tenders to align company capabilities with project needs and business objectives.
• Develop and implement strategic business plans to expand market presence and enter new markets in the water supply and treatment plants sector.
• Identify and prioritize key clients in government sectors such at both state and central levels, including municipal water utilities and industrial facilities.
• Build strong relationships with decision-makers, clients, and stakeholders to understand their needs and effectively position our solutions.
• Monitor industry trends, regulatory changes, and competitor activities to capitalize on opportunities and mitigate risks.
• Prepare and present comprehensive reports, forecasts, and budgets to senior management.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering; plus MBA degree preferred.
• Proven track record of success in business development within the drinking water, Irrigation, & waste water in company under exaction projects industry.
• Deep understanding of water treatment technologies, processes, and equipment.
• Strong commercial acumen with the ability to analyze project areas and understand upcoming project/infrastructure
• Exceptional communication, relationship-building and presentation skills.
• Ability to travel as needed to meet clients and attend industry events.
• A very presentable pleasing personality with high liaison skills with government clients.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with a keen attention to detail.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Professional certifications related to water treatment or business development.
• Experience working with municipal or industrial clients in the water sector.
• Familiarity with regulatory requirements and environmental standards related to water management.
