 Job Description: Mobile Application Developer Position Overview Join Unify's dynamic development team as a Mobile Application Developer, where you will play a pivotal role in building innovative applications that connect people across the globe. In this role, you will leverage your expertise in React Native, JavaScript, and native Android app development to create seamless, high-quality mobile experiences. Your ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams, including design and research, will be crucial in delivering products that meet user needs and exceed expectations.

 Key Responsibilities: - Design and implement mobile applications using React Native and JavaScript, ensuring robustness, performance, and maintainability. - Develop native Android applications, focusing on usability, performance, and integration with backend services. - Work closely with UX/UI designers to translate design vision and user experience into reality.- Collaborate with research teams to understand user needs and incorporate feedback into development processes. - Engage in code reviews, testing, and debugging to ensure high standards of quality and reliability. - Stay up-to-date with the latest industry trends in mobile development and explore innovative solutions to complex problems. - Participate in Agile/Scrum development processes and be responsive to iterative feedback and changes in requirements.

  Must-Have Skills:  - Proficient in React Native and Expo and JavaScript with a strong portfolio of mobile applications. - Extensive experience in native Android app development, with a deep understanding of the React Native ecosystem - Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively with non-engineering teams (design, research) to incorporate diverse perspectives into development processes.- Strong understanding of mobile app design guidelines, usability principles, and best practices. - Experience with version control systems, preferably Git. - Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.- Experience with: Expo managed workflow   TypeScript in strict mode - Mobile app security best practices - Performance optimization techniques - Understanding File system operations - Understanding of State management - Understand Android Native build system

    Nice-to-Have Skills :- Experience with iOS app development and familiarity with Swift/Objective-C. - Knowledge of web technologies (HTML, CSS) and UI/UX design principles. - Familiarity with cloud services (e.g., AWS, Google Cloud) and backend integration. - Understanding of continuous integration/continuous deployment (CI/CD) processes and tools. - Contributions to open-source projects or active participation in the mobile development community.

Qualifications: - Bachelors degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field. - 4+ years of experience in mobile application development, with a proven track record of developing and launching successful apps. - Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to articulate technical concepts to nontechnical audiences. - Preference for candidates able to overlap with US working hours, with some overlap with West Coast USA preferred.
