Job Description:

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated IT Infrastructure Engineer to join our dynamic team at Yunometa. As a rapidly growing mid-sized company focused on cutting-edge technologies like IoT, Blockchain, Data Analytics, Machine Learning (ML), and Artificial Intelligence (AI), we need an expert who can effectively manage, optimize, and scale our IT infrastructure to support our expanding needs.
The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience in managing complex IT environments, strong knowledge of emerging technologies, and the ability to implement solutions that ensure the reliability, security, and scalability of our infrastructure. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to design, deploy, and maintain the IT backbone that supports our innovative initiatives.

Key Responsibilities:

• Infrastructure Management: Oversee the design, deployment, and maintenance of the company's IT infrastructure, ensuring it is optimized for scalability, availability, and security to support IoT, Blockchain, ML, AI, and Data Analytics projects.
• Cloud Infrastructure & Virtualization: Manage cloud-based infrastructure (e.g., AWS, Azure, Google Cloud) and virtualized environments. Ensure optimal use of cloud services to support dynamic workloads associated with IoT, ML, and AI.
• Networking & Connectivity: Design and maintain networking infrastructure to support IoT devices, blockchain nodes, and data-heavy applications. Implement VPNs, firewalls, and other network security measures to ensure the integrity of data transmission.
• Automation & Monitoring: Implement infrastructure automation using tools like Ansible, Terraform, or Kubernetes. Set up monitoring systems (e.g., Nagios, Prometheus) to ensure proactive detection of issues and performance bottlenecks.
• Data Storage & Management: Manage storage solutions that support large-scale data analytics and AI workloads. Oversee distributed storage, databases, and data lakes to ensure secure and efficient data access and retrieval.
• Security & Compliance: Ensure that the infrastructure meets industry standards for security and compliance, especially in the context of sensitive data (IoT devices, blockchain ledgers, etc.). Implement encryption, access controls, and disaster recovery plans.
• Collaboration: Work closely with software engineers, data scientists, and other departments to provide infrastructure solutions for their projects. Understand the specific requirements of ML/AI applications and blockchain solutions.
• Troubleshooting & Support: Act as the first point of contact for resolving infrastructure-related issues. Proactively troubleshoot and resolve performance, connectivity, or security concerns.
• Capacity Planning: Conduct regular assessments and audits to forecast future infrastructure needs and ensure that resources scale with business growth and technological advancement.
• Documentation & Reporting: Maintain thorough documentation for infrastructure setups, configurations, and operational procedures. Prepare reports for management on system performance, uptime, and improvements.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

• Experience: 2+ years of experience in IT infrastructure management, systems administration.
• Cloud Expertise: Hands-on experience with cloud platforms like AWS, Microsoft Azure, or Google Cloud. Certifications such as AWS Certified Solutions Architect, Azure Solutions Architect, or GCP Cloud Architect are a plus.
• Networking Knowledge: Strong understanding of networking protocols, VPNs, firewalls, and network security in a distributed environment. Experience in managing network traffic for IoT devices is a plus.
• IoT Expertise: Familiarity with IoT architecture and its integration with cloud infrastructure and data systems. Ability to manage large-scale IoT devices and sensor networks.
• Data Management Skills: Proficient in managing databases (SQL/NoSQL), distributed data systems, and data lakes. Experience with big data tools like Hadoop, Spark, or similar technologies is a plus.
• Automation & Orchestration: Experience with automation tools (e.g., Ansible, Terraform, or Jenkins). Familiarity with containerization and orchestration technologies (GOOD TO HAVE)
• Security: In-depth knowledge of infrastructure security, encryption techniques, access control, and compliance standards. Ability to ensure secure infrastructure in blockchain and IoT environments.
• Problem-Solving & Analytical Skills: Strong troubleshooting and analytical skills, with the ability to diagnose and resolve complex infrastructure-related issues efficiently.
• Communication Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Ability to communicate technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders and collaborate with multi-disciplinary teams.
• Education: Bachelors degree in Computer Science Information Technology, Engineering, (MUST HAVE) or a related field. Relevant certifications (e.g., CompTIA Network+, Cisco CCNA, AWS Certified DevOps Engineer) are a plus. (GOOD TO HAVE)

Preferred Qualifications:

• Knowledge of serverless architectures and microservices.
• Previous experience in a rapidly growing or startup environment.
