Assistant Manager - Projects

Purpose:

Contribute to organization growth by executing the project from conception to commissioning on time

and with in budget.

Activities:

1. Develop plan & projects from concept to execution including budgeting, scheduling, basic & detail

engineering, coordination with technical, manufacturing, process, R&D, instrumentation & other

engineering disciplines for all the new and existing projects

2. Responsible to support Technology transfer from R&D to Pilot Plant and from Pilot Plant to

Commercial scale

3. Plan – direct construction and installation of plant equipment, testing and commissioning of the

same and project hand over. Also direct operation, maintenance and repair of facilities,

equipment’s, tools and machines.

4. Co ordinate to get all statutory approvals which are necessary to start commercial production.

5. Negotiate with different vendors to arrive best price and ensure materials are delivered as per

specification

6. Develop budgets for the projects and get it approved from the management

7. All the new development on container procurement for Surfactants like designing, vendor

verification, site audit, quality check for the first time containers.

8. Responsible for modifications of the containers with respect to the customers’ requirement.

9. Coach and guide team members for project requirements.

10. Responsible to identify the resources, leading the team, communication with the internal

customers and provide the support for their trouble shooting

11. Develop SOPs for the different processes, HAZOP studies, Effluent treatment studies.

12. Develop Emergency procedures for project in coordination with the Unit Manager/ R&D teams

13. Direct to revamp / de-bottleneck of existing process & technology and troubleshooting
