Job Description: Logistics Executive

Position Overview

The Logistics Executive will oversee the efficient management of the companys logistics operations, ensuring timely and cost-effective delivery of products. The role involves managing transportation, inventory, and warehouse coordination, with a focus on maintaining quality and compliance standards.

Key Responsibilities

Logistics Operations:

1. Plan and execute daily dispatch schedules to meet delivery timelines.
2. Coordinate with transporters and drivers for smooth and timely product distribution.
3. Oversee vehicle loading and unloading to ensure proper handling of goods.
4. Monitor the status of shipments and resolve logistics-related challenges.
5. Prepare and maintain shipping documentation, including invoices, e-way bills, and consignment notes.

Inventory Management:
6. Work closely with the warehouse team to manage stock levels and ensure accuracy in inventory records.
7. Track Finished Goods (FG) and Work In Progress (WIP) inventory for timely dispatch.
8. Conduct regular audits of warehouse stock to prevent discrepancies.

Compliance and Reporting:
9. Ensure all logistics activities comply with company policies, legal regulations, and quality standards.
10. Prepare daily, weekly, and monthly logistics performance reports.
11. Maintain records of vehicle maintenance and delivery performance metrics.

Cost Optimization:
12. Identify cost-saving opportunities in transportation and storage without compromising on quality.
13. Negotiate rates and contracts with third-party logistics providers.

Qualifications and Skills

• Education: Graduate in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, or a related field.
• Experience: 2-3 years of experience in logistics operations, preferably in FMCG/food manufacturing.
• Proficiency in MS Office (Excel) and logistics software.
• Strong organizational and problem-solving skills.
• Knowledge of route planning, fleet management, and inventory systems.

Additional Requirements

• Familiarity with GST and tax regulations related to logistics.
• Ability to manage multiple tasks in a dynamic environment.
• Good communication and team coordination skills.
