Sap Abap Technical Consultant (FICO)

Job Summary:

We are seeking an experienced SAP ABAP Developer with a strong background in FICO (Financial Accounting and Controlling) to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for designing, developing, and optimizing ABAP solutions within the SAP FICO module. You will work closely with functional teams to ensure smooth integration and system performance while supporting business processes in the financial domain.

Key Responsibilities:

• ABAP Development:
  
• Design, develop, and maintain custom ABAP programs, reports, interfaces, forms, and enhancements within the SAP FICO module.
• Develop custom reports, user exits, BAdIs, and enhancements related to financial accounting and controlling processes.
• Debug and optimize existing ABAP code to enhance performance and ensure system stability.
• Integration with FICO Module:
  
• Collaborate with functional consultants to understand business requirements related to financial processes, such as accounts payable, accounts receivable, asset accounting, and controlling.
• Ensure that ABAP solutions align with FICO configurations, business rules, and best practices.
• Work on interfaces with other SAP modules (MM, SD, PS, etc.) and external systems to ensure seamless integration with FICO.
• Troubleshooting and Support:
  
• Provide technical support and troubleshooting for issues related to SAP FICO functionality and custom ABAP developments.
• Conduct system testing, perform root cause analysis, and work to resolve issues promptly.
• Documentation and Training:
  
• Document the technical design, specifications, and implementation steps for all ABAP developments.
• Participate in code reviews and knowledge sharing with team members.
• Continuous Improvement:
  
• Identify areas for process improvement and propose solutions to enhance system efficiency and user experience.
• Stay up to date with the latest SAP technologies and ABAP best practices.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

• 5-8 years of experience in SAP ABAP development, with a strong focus on FICO (Financial Accounting and Controlling) module.
• Expertise in ABAP programming for developing reports, interfaces, enhancements, and forms (ALV, Smartforms, SAPscript).
• Solid knowledge of SAP FICO business processes, including FI (Financial Accounting), CO (Controlling), AP (Accounts Payable), AR (Accounts Receivable), and Asset Accounting (AA).
• Experience with SAP integration points between FICO and other modules like MM, SD, and PS.
• Knowledge of BAPIs, IDocs, RFC, and other integration technologies.
• Proficient in debugging and performance tuning ABAP programs.
• Familiarity with SAP HANA and S/4HANA environments is a plus.
• Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for working with both technical and functional teams.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience with SAP S/4HANA and Fiori applications.
• SAP certification in ABAP or FICO.
• Familiarity with Agile methodology and project management tools.

Education:

• Bachelors degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Finance, or a related field.
