Job Description
- Conceptualize and build new features
- Design, build and maintain APIs, services, and systems critical to the company s consumer experience
- Identify project risks, suggest and construct team consensus around other options
- Aid the customer support team in triaging and fixing production cases
- Mentor other engineers and guide them through the industry s best practices
- Perform thorough and educational code reviews and architectural reviews
Job Requirements:
- Bachelor s/Master s degree in Engineering, Computer Science (or equivalent experience)
- At least 3+ years of relevant experience as a software engineer
- 3+ years of professional experience working with dynamic, high-level languages like Ruby
- Prior experience building APIs and back-end systems using ORMs like ActiveRecord
- Experience working with automated testing (unit, functional, and integration tests) on a cloud platform like AWS
- Ability to prioritize tasks and work independently
- Strong communication and teamwork skills
