Senior Front-End Engineer

A positioning, navigation, and timing startup in the U.S. that is developing products that drive more intelligent supply chains and boost modern technologies, is looking for a Senior Front-End Engineer. The engineer will be in charge of guiding and educating junior engineers on the industry s standard practices. The IoT, cars, drones, phones, and physical assets are all tracked by the company's technologies. During their Series A round, the company has managed to secure $16.4mn+ in funding.

Key Responsibilities:

- Develop and maintain high-quality, scalable, and reusable code using ReactJS.

- Create mobile applications using React-Native or Flutter, ensuring a seamless, responsive experience across devices.

- Implement authentication and authorization frameworks to secure application access.

- Integrate REST and WebSocket APIs to enable efficient data retrieval and real-time interactions.

- Design and develop real-time event processing features, enhancing user experience and application responsiveness.

- Utilize three.js or other 3D vector graphics libraries to create complex, CAD-like interfaces.

- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, contributing innovative ideas and solutions, and driving projects from inception to completion.

- Act as a self-starter, proactively identifying issues and opportunities, and taking ownership of project deliverables.

- Develop testable frontends and write unit tests using JavaScript testing frameworks.

- Work closely with backend developers to balance front-end performance with backend constraints, optimizing overall system efficiency.

Qualifications:

- Proven experience as a Frontend Developer, with a deep understanding of ReactJS.

- Proficiency in React-Native or Flutter for mobile app development.

- Strong experience in integrating and consuming RESTful APIs and WebSocket connections.

- Hands-on experience with real-time event processing on the frontend.

- Familiarity with three.js or other 3D vector graphics libraries, particularly in non-mapping, CAD-like environments.

- Demonstrated ability to lead and complete projects with minimal supervision, showing problem-solving skills and team collaboration.

- Knowledge of JavaScript unit test frameworks and the ability to develop testable front ends.

- Excellent communication skills and the ability to work effectively with both frontend and backend teams to optimize implementation strategies.
