Finance Manager-Travel Company

Roles and Responsibilities

• Managing and overseeing the daily operations of the finance department
• Ensuring implementation, maintenance and adherence to internal processes and policies
• Daily, Weekly and Monthly reporting to higher management on volume of transactions posted, trends and other related data
• Establishing internal processes and guidelines for invoices and transactions posting
• Coordinating and ensuring month-end and year-end processes are completed in a timely manner
• Checking the accuracy and correctness of invoices and trip data submitted by agents
• Fact-checking Deposit remittance and Commissions Sheets received from suppliers against trips and invoices built by travel agents in Travel Booking CRM
• Maintaining agent files, communicating with agents for resolving their invoices, posting or commissions related issues
• Responding to support tickets related to commissions and earnings by agents
• Coordinating within the department for reconciling files and entries
• Working with the support team on occasion to resolve agent problems related to client travel, invoicing, commissions and other earnings
• Working with suppliers on chasing and collecting aged commission receivables
• Coordinating training programs for new staff and identifying training needs for current staff
• Taking on ad-hoc responsibilities as required by the organization

Required Qualification and Skills:

• Bachelors degree in accounting/finance/business administration required
• Experience of 5 Years in Management and Supervisory role
• Must have excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Should be proficient in Microsoft Office Suite
