One-liner about this role: Responsible for driving the success of SEO and content projects for our SaaS clients.


Job type : Full-time; On-site (Bangalore)


Key Responsibilities:

  • End-to-End Project Management: Oversee the entire lifecycle of SEO and content projects, from planning and strategy development to execution, monitoring, and reporting.


  • Talent Selection: Identify and onboard writers who are well-suited for each project, considering factors such as subject matter expertise, style, and tone.


  • Stakeholder Alignment: Foster collaboration and ensure that all team members and stakeholders are working cohesively towards achieving project goals.


  • Quality Control: Collaborate closely with editors and writers to maintain high-quality content standards, ensuring accuracy, relevance, and alignment with client objectives.


  • Timely Delivery: Keep a sharp eye on project timelines and deadlines, ensuring that all deliverables are not only of high quality but also delivered on time.


  • Client Engagement: Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, engaging with them proactively to understand their evolving needs and preferences.


  • Build reporting dashboards, set targets, forecast business impacts, and track performance and learnings from all client accounts.


  • Analyze changes in organic traffic and conversions, and communicate project wins, challenges, and insights to clients and internal teams.


  • Collaborate with fellow strategists to experiment with and refine new strategies and tactics to achieve client success.


  • Utilize tools like Google Analytics, Google Search Console, Ahrefs, Screaming Frog, Surfer SEO, and Keywords Everywhere for strategy; and manage projects with tools like Notion, Airtable, Loom, Slack, and Google Drive.



Client Management Responsibilities:

  • Prioritize driving revenue KPIs such as SQLs, demos, and MRR over vanity metrics like visibility, clicks, and leads, aiming for at least a 10% month-over-month growth.


  • Work closely with our Customer Success Manager and Senior Project Manager to ensure regular and consistent communication with clients, with a minimum of bi-weekly calls.


  • Prepare and deliver thorough quarterly business reviews (QBRs), featuring detailed analytics and actionable insights.


  • Build and maintain strong client relationships to foster trust and long-term collaboration with both the C-Suite and our primary points of contact.


  • Lead the onboarding process for new clients and effectively manage the transition from Sales to Strategy.

KPIs (Key Performance Indicators):

  • Deliverable Quality: Measure the quality of the content and SEO results, using metrics like organic traffic growth, keyword ranking improvements, and content engagement.


  • Client Escalations: Aim to reduce or eliminate client escalations by addressing potential issues proactively and maintaining open lines of communication.


  • Client Retention: Focus on client satisfaction and retention rates as a measure of the agencys overall performance and client relationships.

  • You are versatile and adaptable. This role encompasses both Lead Strategist and Account Manager responsibilities, positioning you as the "quarterback" for your portfolio. You call the shots, delegate to analysts, and rally the team around a shared vision for each client.


  • You learn from your mistakes, continually develop new skills, and adapt quickly. You are agile, learn on the go, and ask for or offer help when needed.


  • You take full ownership of your projects and thrive in a performance-driven environment. You prioritize the most impactful work for both the client and the business.

  • You are an excellent verbal and written communicator. You can present to executives (CEOs, CMOs, and VPs) and dive into the details with other SEO and growth professionals and analysts. You operate effectively at both high-level and detailed perspectives.
