Collection Account Executive

Job Summary:

The Collection Account Executive is responsible for managing inbound and outbound

customer calls related to payments, validating receipts, and updating the corresponding

payment entries in the customer ledger. This role requires strong communication skills,

attention to detail, and proficiency in using accounting software and tools. The goal is to

ensure accurate and timely processing of payments and to maintain positive relationships

with customers.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Customer Interaction:

• Handle inbound and outbound calls professionally to address customer

inquiries related to payments, receipts, and account balances.

• Assist customers with payment-related queries and provide necessary

information regarding their accounts.

2. Receipt Validation:

• Review and validate customer receipts for payments made through various

channels (e.g., online transfers, bank deposits, checks).

• Ensure that all receipts are accurately recorded and match the payment

details provided by customers.

3. Payment Processing:

• Update customer ledgers promptly with the validated payment

information.

• Process deposit requests and ensure that payments are correctly allocated

to the respective accounts.

• Reconcile payment discrepancies by checking the receipts against the

payment details.

4. Record Keeping and Reporting:

• Maintain accurate records of all customer interactions, payments, and

updates in the accounting system.

• Generate reports on collection activities, outstanding payments, and

customer account statuses for management review.

• Ensure compliance with company policies and accounting standards.

5. Customer Service:

• Provide excellent customer service by addressing and resolving customer

complaints or issues related to payments in a timely manner.

6. Continuous Improvement:

• Identify areas for improvement in the collection and payment validation

process and suggest ways to enhance efficiency and accuracy.

• Stay updated on industry trends and best practices related to collections

and payment processing.
