Job Title: Site Reliability Engineer - II

Location: Chennai (Hybrid)

We are looking for a skilled Site Reliability Engineer (SRE) with proficient skills in MLOps to support the development and optimization of our ERP products hosted on Azure and Windows environments. This role blends MLOps capabilities with SRE principles to ensure highly available, scalable, and cost-efficient AI model deployments. The ideal candidate will prioritize Cloud Infrastructure, security, compliance, and operational efficiency while collaborating with global cross-functional teams to meet business objectives.

Key Responsibilities:

• Azure Infrastructure Management: Design and optimize scalable, secure Azure resources such as Azure Compute, AKS, Virtual Machines, Azure Functions, and Azure Storage, ensuring cost efficiency.
• Windows Server Management: Maintain and optimize Windows-based servers on Azure, ensuring high performance, security, and compliance.
• Cost Optimization: Monitor and manage cloud expenditures by identifying underutilized resources and implementing cost-saving strategies.
• Monitoring & Performance: Utilize tools like Azure Monitor, Prometheus, Grafana, and New Relic to track AI model and system health, diagnose bottlenecks, and enhance system performance.
• Collaboration: Work closely with data scientists, AI engineers, and developers to support AI/ML workflows and streamline deployments.
• Automation: Apply SRE best practices by automating incident response, monitoring, configuration management, and routine operational tasks using tools like Ansible, Terraform, and PowerShell DSC.
• Security & Compliance: Ensure AI/ML workloads comply with security and regulatory standards such as GDPR, HIPAA, and SOC 2 while optimizing cost-effective solutions.
• Logging & Incident Response: Implement centralized logging solutions using ELK, Splunk, or Azure Log Analytics and establish automated alerting and remediation workflows.
• Networking & Security: Configure and manage Azure Virtual Networks (VNets), VPNs, firewalls, NSGs, and private endpoints to ensure secure communications.
• Database Management: Work with SQL and NoSQL databases, including Azure SQL, Cosmos DB, and PostgreSQL, ensuring high availability and performance.
• MLOps: Design and maintain ML infrastructure on Azure cloud platform.Deploy and manage ML models in production using CI/CD pipelines.

Qualifications:

• Experience: 36 years in SRE, MLOps or related roles, with a strong focus on Azure and Windows environments.
• Cloud Skills: Proficiency in Azure services, infrastructure management, and Windows workloads.
• SRE Knowledge: Understanding of Site Reliability Engineering principles, including monitoring, automation, and resilience.
• DevOps: Hands-on experience with CI/CD tools such as Azure DevOps, GitHub Actions, and Jenkins.
• Scripting & Automation: Strong proficiency in PowerShell (70%) and Python (30%) for automation tasks.
• Windows Administration: Extensive experience in managing Windows Servers, Active Directory, and Group Policies.
• ML Knowledge: Familiarity with AI/ML workflows, model deployment, monitoring, and feature store management.Automate model training, testing, and deployment processes.
• Networking & Security: Strong understanding of networking principles, firewall configurations, and zero-trust security models. .

Nice-to-Have:

• Experience with Infrastructure-as-Code (IaC) tools like Terraform and ARM templates.
• Azure certifications (e.g., Azure AI Engineer, Azure DevOps Engineer, Azure Security Engineer, or Azure Solutions Architect).
• Experience implementing cost-saving strategies in cloud environments through auto-scaling and spot instances.
