Overview

We are seeking a talented and experienced Lead Graphic Designer to join our dynamic and growing team. The ideal candidate will have strong leadership abilities, creative vision, and a proven track record of managing a design team to deliver high-quality projects. As the Lead Graphic Designer, you will oversee the local design team and collaborate with the corporate marketing design team to deliver creative assets that align with the brand s goals and objectives.

Responsibilities

Team Leadership and Management

• Lead, mentor, and manage a team of graphic designers, providing direction, guidance, and constructive feedback to ensure high-quality and timely delivery of projects
• Foster a creative and collaborative work environment that encourages innovation and professional growth

Design Strategy and Execution

• Develop innovative design concepts and campaigns that resonate with target audiences and align with business goals.
• Oversee the entire design process from ideation to final production, including revisions, feedback, and approval.
• Collaborate with the corporate marketing design team to create visually appealing and brand-consistent designs for digital, print, and multimedia assets.

Project Management

• Manage multiple projects simultaneously, ensuring deadlines and quality standards are met while staying within budget.
• Act as a liaison between the local design team and other departments, facilitating smooth communication and alignment of design goals with marketing objectives.

Brand Management and Consistency

• Serve as a senior-level guardian of the brand, ensuring consistent application of visual identity across all materials and platforms.
• Maintain and evolve brand guidelines to ensure coherence across all design outputs.

Technical Expertise and Innovation

• Stay updated on design trends, tools, and industry best practices to continually improve design output and team capabilities.
• Ensure all designs are optimized for various digital platforms and responsive across devices.
• Proficiently use design software and other relevant tools.

Quality Control and Production Oversight

• Oversee the production of high-quality deliverables including website graphics, social media content, email campaigns, print materials, presentations, and other promotional assets.
• Implement quality control measures for all finished artwork produced by the design studio.

Cross-functional Collaboration

• Work closely with marketing, product, and other relevant teams to understand project requirements and translate them into effective design solutions.
• Provide design expertise and consultancy to other departments when needed.

Continuous Improvement

• Analyse project outcomes and gather feedback to refine design processes and improve team efficiency.
• Identify opportunities for innovation in design techniques and workflows.

Qualifications

• Bachelors degree in Graphic Design, Visual Communication, or a related field.
• 7+ years of experience in graphic design, with at least 3 years in a lead or managerial role.
• Strong portfolio showcasing creative design work across multiple formats (print, digital, multimedia).
• Expertise in Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign), Figma, and other design tools. (Power Point)
• Experience in leading a design team, managing workflows, and providing constructive feedback.
• Excellent understanding of layout, typography, and color theory.
• Strong communication skills with the ability to articulate design decisions and concepts to team members and stakeholders.
• Ability to balance creative thinking with strategic planning to deliver projects that meet business goals.
• Strong time management skills, with the ability to prioritize and manage multiple projects.
• Knowledge of UI/UX principles and design best practices is a plus.
• Ability to collaborate in a remote or hybrid work environment.

Preferred:

• Experience in working with global teams and understanding cross-cultural design sensibilities.
• Knowledge of motion graphics and video editing software (Adobe After Effects, Premiere Pro) is an advantage.
• Experience in branding, marketing, and advertising campaigns.
