Sourcing & Contracting Manager

Position Overview

As a Sourcing and Contracting Manager, you will play a pivotal role in building and managing a diverse supplier portfolio to meet sales demand and ensure exceptional service delivery. You will negotiate contracts, analyze market trends, and provide insights to shape strategic sourcing and contracting decisions. This position requires a skilled professional who thrives in a collaborative and fast-paced environment and is passionate about creating value through strong supplier partnerships.

Key Responsibilities:

Sourcing:

• Key relationships with local guides, coach companies, porterage companies and other suppliers of destination services.
• Key internal relationships with quotation and sales team, booking agents, accounting and product development teams.
• Develop and implement sourcing strategies to meet business needs.
• Identify, evaluate, and onboard new suppliers to diversify and strengthen the supply base.
• Conduct market research and analysis to benchmark pricing, quality, and service levels.
• Collaborate with internal stakeholders to understand business requirements and align sourcing efforts accordingly.
• Research and identify reliable travel suppliers, including transportation suppliers, tour operators, and other travel services, in Europe and beyond
• Negotiate contracts and rates to ensure competitive pricing and value for Travmonde clients.
• Negotiate rates and T&Cs with guides and other relevant suppliers on a yearly contract basis, for a defined destination portfolio as well as key suppliers in all destinations
• Negotiate Ad Hoc rates as required by the booking team, throughout the whole year and for all destination service types
• Establish and nurture strong and sustainable commercial relationships with suppliers
• Prepare and analyse data and statistics & review capacity demand together with sales targets in order to ensure effective negotiation and a supplier portfolio that suffices sales demand
• Actively participate in the setting of target rates based on knowledge of the market situation and supplier relationships
• Participate in the definition of strategic sourcing and contracting with the CEO
• Prepare and update contracting documentation, ensure all documentation is filed in line with company policies and contract deadlines are met
• Ensure correctness and completeness of signed contracts
• Cooperate closely with and support Booking agents to ensure guide portfolio is used effectively and Adhoc rates are negotiated as required
• Cooperate closely with the accounting team in order to solve all supplier payment issues related to miscommunication of rate details on contracts
• Selection of suppliers, Evaluating them and then Onboard them, Database Creation, supplier Performance Management & Establishing better payment terms and standards
• Proactively bringing ideas into the team and positive approach for new strategies.
