Junior Engineer - Java (1-2 yrs)

Job Description :

In this role, you will focus on the development of Java-based applications, working alongside senior developers to implement, test, and deploy features while also learning about modern deployment and containerization tools.

Key Responsibilities :

- Develop and maintain Java applications in collaboration with senior team members.

- Write clean, maintainable, and efficient code using Java.

- Participate in the design of RESTful APIs and backend services with Java technologies.

- Support the deployment of applications in Docker containers and assist with Kubernetes (EKS) orchestration tasks.

- Work with Terraform to help automate cloud infrastructure provisioning.

- Assist in the creation of Jenkins pipelines to automate builds and deployments.

- Learn and contribute to RUCD processes to improve deployment efficiency.

- Participate in code reviews, testing, and troubleshooting to ensure the quality of Java applications.

Skills & Qualifications :

- Strong foundation in Java development and understanding of core concepts (OOP, design patterns, etc.).

- Exposure to Spring or similar frameworks for building Java applications.

- Familiarity with Docker and containerized environments.

- Willingness to learn and work with Kubernetes (EKS) for managing cloud-native applications.

- Basic knowledge of CI/CD practices and tools like Jenkins.

- Familiarity with cloud infrastructure management using Terraform is a plus.
