Job Summary:
We are looking for a skilled and creative Video Editor to help produce high-quality video lessons and educational content. The ideal candidate will have a strong passion for video production, an eye for detail, and a deep understanding of modern video and audio editing techniques. You will be responsible for editing video content, ensuring high-quality sound engineering, assisting with production setups, and collaborating creatively with our production team.
Key Responsibilities:
- Video Editing:
Edit video lessons using advanced techniques to ensure that the content is polished, engaging, and aligned with Torrins' standard and style guidelines.
- Sound Engineering:
Ensure that audio quality is top-notch by synchronizing sound accurately and enhancing clarity.
Use industry-standard tools to manage audio levels, reduce background noise, and add basic effects, ensuring separate audio tracks are clear and engaging.
- Production Support:
Assist with video shoots by helping set up and break down equipment, adjusting lighting for optimal video quality, and troubleshooting technical issues on set.
Be actively involved in studio setup to ensure that all production aspects meet the required standards.
- Use of Modern Editing Tools:
Leverage industry-standard software like Adobe Premiere Pro, Final Cut Pro, After Effects (for motion graphics), DaVinci Resolve (for color grading), and Adobe Audition (for audio editing) to edit and enhance video and audio.
Stay updated on new software and editing techniques to ensure cutting-edge production quality.
- Creative Collaboration:
Collaborate closely with the production team and instructors, to ensure the final product meets creative standards and vision.
Provide input and ideas to enhance the content and elevate the production value, ensuring it aligns with the goals of the project.
Skills & Qualifications:
- Proven experience in video editing, with a strong portfolio showcasing edited video lessons or educational content.
- Strong proficiency with industry-standard video and audio editing software such as Adobe Premiere Pro, Final Cut Pro, After Effects, DaVinci Resolve, and Adobe Audition.
- Excellent understanding of sound engineering, audio editing, and synchronization techniques.
- Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment and contribute to creative brainstorming sessions.
- Strong attention to detail, ensuring high-quality production standards.
- Ability to handle multiple projects simultaneously, working efficiently under tight deadlines.
- Knowledge of color grading, motion graphics, and visual effects is a plus.
- Familiarity with video production workflows, including pre-production, filming, and post-production processes.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Bachelors degree in Film, Media, or related field.
- Experience in educational content production or instructional design.
- Strong communication skills and ability to take direction well.
