Architecture and Group Initiatives (AGI)

AGI owns the world-class Enterprise CMS solutions that empower all digital newsrooms within Times Internet and beyond. The solutions include state-of-the-art authoring tools with AI-enabled generative and assistive features, analytics and reporting tools and services that easily scale to the millions of requests per minute. This unique scaling need and engineering of state-of-the-art products make AGI a place of constant evolution and innovation across product, design and engineering in the ever-growing technical landscape of the digital and print media industry.

About the Role:

To recruit a young engineer with good analytical skills and specialized in Web Technologies (Javascript, React JS, HTML, CSS, etc.).

Work Responsibilities:

1. Building and Maintaining User Interfaces: Develop responsive and visually appealing user interfaces using HTML, CSS, and JavaScript, React JS, Material UI, etc. Ensure designs match provided mockups or prototypes.

2. Component Creation: Create reusable components and front-end libraries to streamline development and maintain consistency.

3. Working with Designers: Collaborate with UX/UI designers to translate design wireframes and mockups into functional code. Provide feedback on designs from a technical perspective.

4. Team Collaboration: Work with back-end developers, product managers, and other stakeholders to gather requirements and implement features.

5. Optimising Performance: Improve application performance by optimizing load times, responsiveness, and overall user experience.

6. Troubleshooting: Identify and fix bugs and performance issues in a timely manner.

7. Quality Assurance: Work with QA teams to ensure the final product meets the required quality standards.

Skills, Experience & Expertise:

1. React, Redux, React Hooks - Strong experience with React Javascript Library, State Management using Redux and React Hooks.

2. HTML, Javascript, CSS3 - Good working knowledge of HTML5, JavaScript, jQuery, CSS3, ECMAScript (ES6) .

3. REST APIs Integration - Experience with all levels of operation available to the front-end like Rest API integration(XHR), validation, promises etc.

4. Cross-Browser Development - Strong debugging skills on the Browser Developer Tools and Cross Browser compatibility.

5. OOPs - Very good understanding and experience with Object-Oriented design and development.

6. SCM - Working knowledge with SCM tools. Preferably GIT, GitHub or SVN.

7. Agile Development - Experience with Agile Software Development practices.

8. Good communication and presentation skills.

9. Nice to have:

Working experience with AngularJS

Good to have knowledge of React Material UI, Node.JS and other JS frameworks and libraries like Underscore JS, Moment JS, Webpack etc.

Eligibility

A minimum of 2 years of experience in a related field of work - Web development, agile work environment
