Senior Accountant / GST Expert / Finance Executive

Key Responsibilities:

1. GST Management:

• Ensure accurate and timely preparation and filing of GST returns (GSTR-1, GSTR-3B, GSTR-9, and GSTR-9C).
• Reconcile GST Input Tax Credit (ITC) with vendor invoices and ensure compliance with GST laws.
• Handle GST audits, notices, and assessments from tax authorities.
• Monitor reverse charge mechanism (RCM) and ensure compliance.
• Stay updated with changes in GST regulations and implement them effectively in company processes.

2. Bills Receivable:

• Maintain and monitor accounts receivable ledgers for accuracy and timeliness.
• Issue invoices and track payments against them.
• Ensure proper credit control by monitoring credit terms and overdue accounts.
• Follow up with customers for overdue payments and resolve disputes.
• Prepare aging reports of receivables for management review.

3. Bills Payable:

• Verify vendor invoices with purchase orders and goods receipt notes (GRNs).
• Process payments to vendors via NEFT/RTGS/Cheques based on due dates.
• Reconcile vendor statements and resolve discrepancies in payments.
• Manage vendor credit limits and terms to optimize cash flow.
• Prepare payable aging reports and assist in cash flow planning.

4. General Accounting:

• Record day-to-day financial transactions and ensure accuracy in the general ledger.
• Reconcile bank accounts and oversee cash handling operations.
• Coordinate with internal and external auditors to provide necessary documents and reports.

5. Reporting and Analysis:

• Prepare MIS reports on accounts payable, receivable, and overall financial health.
• Analyze financial data to provide actionable insights to management.
• Assist in budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis.

6. Compliance and Audits:

• Ensure compliance with all tax and regulatory requirements, including TDS, GST, and other statutory obligations.
• Prepare and support statutory, internal, and GST audits by providing necessary reconciliations and documentation.
• Maintain and archive records for compliance purposes.
