Python Developer - Principal Software Engineer

Role Summary:

This role demands a Principal Software Engineer who providestechnical leadership in designing, developing and optimizing complex softwaresystems using Python. The principal engineer will set coding standards, mentorjunior developers and collaborate with cross functional teams to align techsolutions with business objectives.

Responsibilities:

1. Building efficient server-side applications in python (flask,Django, etc.)

2. Expert in building efficient enterprise grade solutions inPython.

3.Collaborate with external team to align on technical strategiesand overall business objectives and build POCs for new use cases.

4.Peer code review and coaching/mentoring junior team members.

5.Solve technical challenges by debugging while writing code.

6.Responsible to manage and support loading data intodatabases.

7.Deploying solutions to test environment and elevating thesolution to prod environments.

8.Frequently performing code quality checks and enforce to ensureIndustry standards.

9.Prepare technical, architectural documentation.

11.Co-ordinating with Architects, Product Owners/ Business togather requirements and implementing the solutions.

12.Identify risks and provide possible solutions to mitigate them.

13.Implement software enhancements and suggest improvements.

15.Taking ownership of multiple projects and deliveries andcoordinating with the team to meet the deadlines.

16.Building and contributing to technical roadmap and strategy forthe team.

17.Driving continuous improvement in development process and toolsto enhance overall efficiency and quality.

Education:

An undergraduate Engineering professional or higher qualificationis preferred

Required Experience:

Total Years of experience 10 -12 years

Required skills:

1.10-12 years of experience in Software development out of which 5-6 yearsexperience in python development

2.At least 6 years of experience in building enterprise solutions

3.8+ years in Developing RESTFUL Web Services

4.8+ years of experience in SQL/NoSQL/PGSQL/MySQL and solidunderstanding/exposure to database management

5.3+ years of experience in GCP or any other cloud platform

6.Ability to quickly produce prototypes and proof of concepts.

7.Ability to present to leadership and articulate complex technical scenarios.

8.Experience and willingness to mentor other engineers and help develop theirskills and leadership.

11.Strong understanding of web services
