Job Description

Overview:

We are looking for an experienced Director with a proven track record in raising capital for technology-driven businesses. The ideal candidate will have successfully originated, led, and closed at least 3 fundraises above USD 10 million. This role requires strong leadership and ownership, process management skills to get the deal executed, and the ability to build, maintain, and nurture relationships both internally and externally.

Skills & Experience:

1. Proven experience in raising capital, having originated, led, and closed at least 3 deals over USD 10 million.

2. Ability to independently drive and manage revenue generation, with an expectation to deliver USD 1 million in revenue over time.

3. A distinctive strength in either investor relationships or sector understanding, with strong proficiency in the other.

4. Exceptional interpersonal skills with the ability to pitch, influence, and lead high-stakes conversations with founders, board members, and investors.

5. Deep understanding of fundraising processes, with the ability to read deal dynamics and optimize terms for clients.

6. Strong business understanding, including comfort in analyzing data and numbers within a business context.

7. Hands-on, solution-oriented attitude with a focus on driving deals to successful closure.

Key Responsibilities:

Deal Leadership & Execution:

- Lead the full deal cycle, acting as the key SPOC and driving transactions from origination to closure.

- Own individual revenue generation, with an expectation to meet or exceed a USD 1 million annual revenue goal.

- Conduct and manage a competitive process, including strategy and calibration based on market feedback, with the objective of creating value for the client.

Business Development:

- Leverage deep market knowledge and interpersonal skills to meet, pitch, and convert clients into partners.

- Command the room in board presentations and win mandates through compelling pitches and strategic positioning.

- While client will support with inbound leads, the Director is expected to build and maintain a personal pipeline of high-potential companies and founders.

Founder & Board Collaboration:

- Work closely with founders to align the company's story and process to maximize value.

- Manage the board's expectations throughout the process, being decisive when needed to drive outcomes.

- Maintain strong relationships with both founders and boards to enable future rounds of fundraising for the company.

Process Management:

- Control the pace and intensity of the deal process, balancing market feedback, investor sentiment, and internal timelines.

- Communicate critical actions to all stakeholders, ensuring alignment and clear expectations.

- Course correct dynamically based on market conditions to optimize deal closure.

Investor Relations:

- Build and maintain deep relationships with funds to enable optimal go-to-market (GTM) strategies.

- Guide clients on expected capital, revenue targets, and operational milestones throughout the fundraising process.

Team Leadership:

- Mentor and lead the junior team, ensuring high-quality, timely deliverables. If necessary, roll up your sleeves to directly contribute to output.

- Uphold standards of execution & clients SLA, ensuring the team delivers consistent results.

Compensation: Above industry benchmark.
