Senior Cloud Engineer - Google Cloud Platform (7-10 yrs)

About the Role :

As a Senior Cloud Engineer at thinkbridge, you will be at the forefront of driving cloud innovation for our clients.

You will lead the design, implementation, and optimization of Google Cloud Platform (GCP) solutions, ensuring high performance, scalability, and security.

Key Responsibilities :

- Design and implement robust cloud architectures on GCP, leveraging services like Compute Engine, App Engine, Kubernetes Engine, Cloud Storage, BigQuery, and more.

- Lead and contribute to the CCoE, driving best practices, innovation, and knowledge sharing.

- Engage directly with clients to understand their cloud needs, provide strategic guidance, and troubleshoot issues.

- Mentor junior engineers, share knowledge, and foster a culture of continuous learning.

- Manage and optimize cloud infrastructure, ensuring high availability and performance.

- Implement security best practices and ensure compliance with industry standards.

- Automate routine tasks using tools like Terraform, CloudFormation, or Ansible.

- Diagnose and resolve complex cloud-related issues.

- Stay up-to-date with the latest GCP technologies and trends, and explore innovative solutions.

Required Skills and Experience :

- 5+ years of experience in cloud engineering, with a strong focus on GCP.

- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.

- Deep understanding of GCP services, including Compute Engine, App Engine, Kubernetes Engine, Cloud Storage, BigQuery, Pub/Sub, and more.

- Strong networking knowledge, including VPC, subnetting, VPN, DNS, and load balancing.

- Experience with cloud security best practices and compliance standards.

- Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.

- Excellent communication and collaboration skills.

- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
