Instrumentation Design Engineer

Roles and Responsibilities:

• Develop P&I diagrams along with process engg.
• Preparation of Instrument data sheets / specifications for all field instruments as per P&ID meeting contract/ process requirements
• Preparation of detailed specifications for PLC /DCS based control / shutdown system, analyzers as per P&ID meeting contract / process requirements.
• Preparation Instrument hook up diagrams along with BOMs
• Preparation of cable tray layouts / JB - Instrument location drawings
• Preparation of BMS logic diagrams, Control Schemes
• Review of vendor documents for all the instrumentation items
• Support to Marketing for proposal involving brief instrumentation item list meeting tender requirements.
• Support to QAC / Field Engg / Construction as and when required.
• Participation in Hazop / SIL studies

Critical Competencies:

• Knowledge of Basic Instrumentation Engineering of Pressure / Temp / Flow / Level measurement methods / Analyzers / control valves as applicable to boilers is essential.
• Knowledge of control scheme / logic diagrams / PLC /DCS is essential.
• Knowledge of Hazardous area instrumentation, Intools, NFPA, BMS, fuel firing system & burners will be an added advantage.
• Preliminary process knowledge of operation and controls of different types of boilers.
• Design Experience related to revamping of Boiler controls and instrumentation due to Upgradation of Instrumentation, Fuel shifts , Addition of equipment's etc will be added advantage.
• Experience of working on various consultant specifications.
