Textile Designer

Responsibilities

• Conduct in-depth research on current fashion trends, analyzing market data and consumer preferences specific to the Indian market.
• Possess a strong understanding of traditional and contemporary Indian textile design aesthetics.
• Collaborate with product development and merchandising teams to ensure designs are commercially viable and align with production capabilities.
• Have a deep understanding of fabric types, textures, printing techniques, and embellishments suitable for Sarees and Kurtis.
• Oversee the sampling process, providing feedback and making adjustments to achieve desired results.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Textile Design/ Fashion related field.
• Minimum 2-3 years of experience in textile design for fashion applications, preferably with a focus on Indian ethnic wear.
• Strong portfolio showcasing a creative and innovative approach to textile design.
• Excellent sketching and digital design skills (e.g., Adobe Photoshop, Illustrator).
• In-depth knowledge of Indian textiles, weaving techniques, and printing processes.
• Strong work ethic with a commitment to quality and meeting deadlines.
