Senior Mechanical Design Engineer

JOB TITLE: Mechanical Design Engineer and Sr. Mechanical Design Engineer

We are looking for a highly skilled and experienced Sr. Mechanical Design Engineerto join our dynamic team. In this role, he/ she will:

• Responsible for Design and development of Mechanical systems and components for medical equipment meeting industry standards and regulations
• Responsible for Product sustenance activities.

Requirements:

Proven experience in the design & development and analysis of mechanical systems, structures and enclosures preferably related to medical equipment

• High level of expertise in SolidWorks (part, assembly, sheet metal, drawing, simulations, Tol Analyst) and AutoCAD

• Strong understanding of mechanical engineering principles, selection of standard components, material properties and manufacturing processes

• Experience in pressure die casting and plastic injection molding process is a plus • Proficiency in engineering calculations and FEA simulation

• Proficiency in GD&T and tolerance stack up analysis

• Proficiency in design and manufacturing of parts with tight tolerance specifications

• Proficiency in technical documentation and creating detailed manufacturing drawings

• Knowledge of industry standards and regulations relevant to mechanical design, preferably medical equipment design

• Experience in prototyping, testing and validation of mechanical systems and components

• Familiarity with Design for manufacturing (DFM) and Design for Assembly (DFA) principles
• Knowledge of PLM tool like PTC Windchill is a plus

• Excellent problem solving and analytical skills with ability to identify and resolve complex mechanical issues

• Strong communication and interpersonal skills

• Self-motivated and able to work independently with a strong sense of ownership and accountability

• Ability to collaborate with global cross functional teams

• Knowledge of standards related to medical equipment design preferred.
