Senior Java Developer

Job Description:

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Java Developer to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in Java development, a thorough understanding of the Short Message Peer-to-Peer (SMPP) protocol, and a commitment to following Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) processes.

Key Responsibilities:

• Design, develop, and maintain Java applications: Write clean, efficient, and maintainable code following best practices.
• SMPP Protocol: Utilize your deep understanding of the SMPP protocol to develop and maintain messaging systems.
• SDLC Adherence: Follow and advocate for SDLC processes, including requirement analysis, design, coding, testing, and deployment.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams: Work closely with product managers, testers, and other stakeholders to deliver high-quality software solutions.
• Troubleshoot and debug applications: Identify and resolve performance and scalability issues in a timely manner.
• Code Reviews: Participate in code reviews to maintain code quality and share knowledge with the team.
• Documentation: Create and maintain technical documentation for reference and reporting.

Qualifications:

• Education: Bachelors degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
• Experience: Minimum of 8 years of hands-on experience in Java development.
• SMPP Expertise: Solid understanding and experience working with the SMPP protocol.
• Technical Skills:
• Proficiency in Java, including frameworks such as Spring and Hibernate.
• Experience with RESTful services and APIs.
• Knowledge of database systems such as MySQL, PostgreSQL, or Oracle.
• Familiarity with version control systems (e.g., SVN).
• Understanding of messaging systems and protocols.
• Soft Skills:
• Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
• Strong communication and teamwork abilities.
• Ability to work independently and manage time effectively.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience with other Queueing protocols (e.g., AMQP, MQTT).
• Knowledge of microservices architecture and containerization (Docker, Kubernetes).
• Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and tools like Jenkins, Kafka, Redis, RabbitMQ.
