Quality Assurance Automation Engineer - Application Testing (6-10 yrs)

Key Responsibilities :

- Framework Design and Development : Lead the design, development, and maintenance of scalable and robust automation frameworks using Python, Pytest, and Cucumber.

- Testing : Manage and execute end-to-end manual and automated testing processes for both web and mobile applications.

- Xray Integration : Act as the subject matter expert on Xray integration with JIRA, ensuring efficient test case management, execution, and reporting.

- Collaboration : Work closely with cross-functional teams, including developers, product managers, and DevOps, to define test strategies and achieve comprehensive test coverage.

- CI/CD Integration : Integrate automated test suites into CI/CD pipelines to enable rapid, reliable deployments and maintain continuous delivery workflows.

- Defect Management : Identify, document, and track defects using tools like JIRA, ensuring timely resolution and consistent quality improvements.

- Monitoring and Analysis : Monitor and analyze test results, providing actionable insights to improve product quality and system performance.

- Mentorship : Train and mentor junior QA team members, sharing best practices, tools, and techniques in automation testing.

- Client Communication : Engage with US-based clients, effectively communicating test strategies, progress updates, and quality improvement recommendations.

Required Skills and Experience :

- Strong proficiency in Python and Pytest for developing and executing automation tests.

- Hands-on experience with Cucumber for Behavior-Driven Development (BDD).

- Extensive knowledge of Xray-JIRA integration, including test case creation, execution, and generating insightful reports.

- Proven experience in designing and maintaining scalable automation frameworks.

- Proficiency in defect management tools such as JIRA.

- Experience integrating automated test suites into CI/CD pipelines (e.g., Jenkins, GitLab CI/CD, or Azure DevOps).

- Solid understanding of web and mobile application testing principles.

- Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.

- Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with global teams.

- Self-motivated and detail-oriented, with a proactive approach to improving processes and quality.
