Technical Lead - Middleware/Hardware Abstraction Layer (5-12 yrs)

We are seeking a skilled Android Automotive Middleware/Platform Technical Lead to design and develop innovative solutions for next-generation Software-Defined Vehicles (SDV), eCockpit, and Infotainment systems on Android Automotive.

As part of our team, you will work on the latest Android Automotive Middleware technologies, focusing on Audio, Media, Tuner, Connectivity, HAL, Graphics, Projection, and Inter-domain Communication.

Key Responsibilities :

Leadership & Mentorship: Provide technical guidance, mentorship, and support to junior team

members. Define KPIs for middleware components and ensure their achievement.

Middleware Development: Design and develop software architecture for Android Middleware/Platform components in the automotive domain.

Requirement Analysis: Understand system requirements, derive software requirements, and deliver high-quality platform/middleware solutions.

Customer Collaboration: Act as the main interface for all software-related activities, including design reviews and requirement negotiations.

Project Management: Manage multiple projects, communicate effectively with key stakeholders, and address development roadblocks.

Documentation & Testing: Develop software design documents, specifications, and test plans while ensuring compliance with CDD, CTS, and VTS standards.

Domain Expertise: Work on middleware components in domains such as Audio, Media, Tuner, Connectivity, Graphics, Projection, Inter-domain Communication, Camera, and Display sharing.

Innovation: Stay updated on emerging trends and technologies in automotive software development.

Mandatory Skills & Qualifications :

- Bachelor's degree in Engineering or equivalent.

- 5+ years in the Automotive Domain with a focus on Platform/Middleware Development.

- 2+ years of experience in the Android Domain.

- Involvement in at least two production programs in Automotive Middleware Development.

Technical Skills :

- Strong expertise in Android Automotive Systems and Car Framework.

- Hands-on experience in at least one of the following domains: Audio, Connectivity, Media, Graphics,

Projection, Bluetooth, or Camera.

- Proficiency in programming languages: Java, C++ (11/14/17/20), RUST.

- Experience with Android development tools: Android.bp, Android.mk, Ninja Soong, Bazel, etc.
