Python Developer - FastAPI/SQL (5-10 yrs)

We are looking for an experienced and highly skilled Python + SQL Developer to join our growing development team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in Python, FastAPI (or similar frameworks like Tornado), and SQL development, with 5+ years of hands-on experience. As part of our team, you will support the development and ongoing maintenance of our Data Warehouse (TDW) platform, working on exciting projects that require expertise in both backend development and database optimization.

Key Responsibilities :

- Develop, optimize, and maintain SQL queries, scripts, and Python-based applications.

- Your expertise in writing clean, efficient, and scalable code will help improve the performance and reliability of our platform.

- Develop and integrate Python APIs, working with web frameworks like FastAPI to build responsive and high-performing applications.

- Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams to design and implement user-facing elements and backend components.

- Troubleshoot and debug applications, ensuring that performance bottlenecks are identified and resolved efficiently.

- Implement solutions to optimize performance, improve system responsiveness, and ensure scalability.

- Implement and monitor security measures to protect sensitive data and ensure application security. Take necessary actions to comply with data protection regulations and mitigate security risks.

- Work alongside development, product, and operations teams to define, design, and ship new features and improvements.

- Contribute to all phases of the software development lifecycle, from requirements gathering to deployment.

- Participate in code reviews, providing constructive feedback and promoting best practices across the team.

- Share knowledge and mentor junior team members to foster a culture of continuous learning and improvement.

- Use version control systems such as BitBucket to manage code repositories effectively.

- Contribute to building and optimizing continuous integration/continuous deployment (CI/CD) pipelines to streamline the development and release process.

- Leverage your understanding of microservices architecture to design robust and modular applications.

- Utilize containerization technologies such as Docker and Kubernetes to ensure the portability and scalability of applications across different environments.

- Provide technical support to end-users, troubleshooting issues via phone, email, and chat.

- Perform regular system maintenance, updates, and performance monitoring to ensure the smooth operation of the platform.

- Proactively diagnose and resolve application issues, ensuring that system performance and availability meet the required service levels.

- Respond promptly to incidents and contribute to post-mortem analysis for continuous improvement.

Technical Skills and Qualifications :

- Proficiency in Python, FastAPI (or similar web frameworks like Tornado).

- Strong knowledge in advanced SQL.

- Experience with version control systems such as BitBucket.

- Understanding of RESTful APIs and microservices architecture.

- Familiarity with containerization technologies (e.g., Docker, Kubernetes).

- Ability to write scalable and efficient Python code.

- Strong unit testing and debugging skills.

- Basic understanding of Java and C#.

- Excellent communication skills and the ability to work in a team-oriented environment.
