Title: Project Manager with Insurance Domain (IFRS 17 - Insurance Contracts)
Experience: 10 - 18 Years
- Develop a comprehensive project plan with detailed milestones, timelines, and deliverables for the successful implementation of IFRS 17 for insurance contracts.
- Define the project scope, objectives, and resources required, ensuring alignment with business priorities and regulatory requirements.
- Proactively monitor the progress of the project to identify and address risks, issues, and dependencies as they arise throughout the project lifecycle.
- Implement effective mitigation strategies and solutions to minimize risks and resolve issues, ensuring the project stays on track.
- Lead and facilitate communication and interaction with internal and external stakeholders, ensuring alignment on project goals and objectives.
- Support the development and implementation of necessary changes as required by the evolving IFRS 17 standards or organizational needs.
- Drive the adoption of changes by ensuring stakeholders are informed and engaged throughout the process.
- Provide regular project updates to key stakeholders, ensuring timely and accurate reporting on the status of key project milestones, achievements, and any changes or delays.
- Create and present Management Information (MI) reports detailing progress against planned developments, testing execution, and overall project status.
- Obtain buy-in from stakeholders for all key project milestones, commitments, and changes, including any adjustments to requirements or scope.
- Work closely with cross-functional teams, including finance, actuarial, IT, and operations, to ensure the successful implementation of IFRS 17.
- Ensure that all team members are aligned with project goals and deadlines, providing guidance and support as needed.
- Minimum of 5 years of project management experience, with a strong focus on insurance contracts and IFRS 17 implementation.
- In-depth knowledge of IFRS 17 standards and their application in the insurance industry.
- Proven track record of managing complex projects, including risk management and stakeholder engagement.
- Expertise in creating and managing project plans, including defining milestones, timelines, and resource allocation.
- Ability to track and report on project progress, identifying and addressing issues in real-time.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to engage and influence stakeholders at all levels of the organization.
- Experience in managing change and ensuring the adoption of new processes or standards.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with a proactive approach to identifying and mitigating project risks and issues.
- A degree in Finance, Actuarial Science, Accounting, or a related field is preferred.
- Project management certifications (e.g., PMP, Prince2) would be a plus.
This role may involve working with various teams across different locations, requiring excellent collaboration and communication skills.
