Landscape BIM Modeler

Role & Responsibilities:

As a Landscape BIM Modeler, you will play a critical role in transforming landscape design concepts into detailed, accurate 3D models using Building Information Modeling (BIM) techniques. You will collaborate closely with landscape architects, engineers, and other project stakeholders to ensure design accuracy, improve coordination, and maintain project timelines.

Key responsibilities include:

3D Modeling & Design:

• Develop detailed landscape BIM models, including topography, terrain, hardscaping, softscaping, water features, and planting.
• Integrate terrain data and GIS information into models to reflect accurate site conditions.

• Collaboration & Coordination:
  
• Work with interdisciplinary teams (architecture, civil engineering.) to ensure model compatibility and identify potential design clashes.
• Participate in BIM coordination meetings to resolve issues and maintain project alignment.

• Documentation & Reporting:
  
• Generate high-quality 2D/3D drawings, reports, and construction documents from the BIM model.
• Prepare accurate schedules and material take-offs for construction teams.

• Model Management:
  
• Update and maintain BIM models throughout the project lifecycle, ensuring data accuracy and consistency.
• Implement version control for model revisions and changes, ensuring alignment with project goals.

• Quality Assurance:
  
• Review models for accuracy, ensuring compliance with industry standards, regulations, and sustainability requirements.
• Troubleshoot and resolve any technical issues in the BIM software or models.

• Sustainability Integration:
  
• Integrate sustainable design solutions such as green infrastructure, stormwater management, and other environmentally-friendly features into models.
• Assist in obtaining certifications (e.g., LEED, BREEAM) for sustainable landscape designs.

Preferred Candidate Profile:

• Educational Qualifications:
  
• Degree in Landscape Architecture, Civil Engineering, Architecture, or a related field.
• Certifications or additional training in BIM, 3D modeling, or software relevant to landscape design is a plus.
• Experience:
  
• Proven experience in landscape design and BIM modeling (minimum 5-10 years).
• Strong experience with BIM software, including Revit and AutoCad.
• Experience working on landscape architecture projects in urban, residential, or public spaces is highly desirable.
• Skills:
  
• Proficiency in 3D modeling software.
• Solid understanding of topography, landform, and site drainage principles.
• Ability to work collaboratively in a team and communicate effectively with project stakeholders.
