Engineer (Environment)

Role & responsibilities

• Prepare environmental permitting/ technical reports including EIAs, EMPs, ESIAs and related reports, for submission to Local Authorities (Department of Environment) or to meet international standards for multinational clients.
• Provision of environmental engineering technical and compliance advice.
• Prepare engineering environmental design basis and philosophies, as required.
• Review of engineering design documentation and drawings in support of environmental studies.
• Identification and interpretation of relevant regulations and standards, in preparing technical reports.
• Input to HAZID/ENVID reviews and multi-discipline engineering projects.
• Ensures technical project execution within time and budget by supervising assigned engineers and coordinating with Clients and other engineering disciplines and supervising assigned engineers.
• Ensure full compliance with Company rules and procedures and adherence to the procedures.
• Interact with Genesis peers globally to share best practices.
• Co-ordination and Understanding of Multi-discipline activities for effective project execution.
• Acclimated to learn new tasks at a fast pace and apply the knowledge effectively for project completion.
• Maintain documentation as per quality procedure.
• Responsible for maintaining client interface during project execution. Coordinate external interfaces with the client, and internal interfaces with the project management team, construction, engineering, and commissioning disciplines.
• Keep up to date with new development of standards, softwares, other digital tools, procedures and implement it to the day-to-day work.
• Work in compliance with all safety rules and regulations and maintain quality.

Preferred candidate profile

• Bachelors in engineering, environmental science, management, law or similar discipline.
• Desirable to have Masters in environment science/management or similar branch.
• 6 years of experience including CO2 related evaluation and CCUS regulations
• Possess working knowledge in environmental assessments/permitting studies.
• Experience in handling environmental studies in Oil & Gas, Refining, Petrochemical, Fertilizer & Chemicals
• Ability to manage and execute multiple projects.
• Being rigorous, autonomous, curious and a great team player.
• Posses effective communication and coordination skills.
• Knowledge of local and global environmental legislation and standards.
